Grizzly Bears, Nakina River in the Taku Wilderness of northern British Columbia, Canada - August 2024
A truly remote wilderness camp, only accessible by a 30-minute helicopter ride from the nearest settlement. We spent 8 nights at this very special location. There were numerous Grizzly Bears feasting on both salmon in the Nakina River and the thousands of berries on the hill and mountain slopes. It's very exciting to be sitting watching Grizzlies that are only a few feet away, but you are completely safe as long as you act in a sensible and predictable way.
