Kavinga Concession, Mana Pools National Park, Zimbabwe - October 2024
This trip was designed to coincide with the height of the dry season in Mana Pools National Park, Zimbabwe. Temperatures soared to nearly 40C (104F) on most days, the blistering heat making finding water each day an absolute imperative for the mammals and birds in the area. Kavinga Safari Camp has two waterholes, and during the dry season it is the only water available for miles around. All the animals must drink at these waterholes, so they were a hive of activity throughout the day and the night. We stayed for seven nights and saw some of the most amazing wildlife!
My thanks to Safari Consultants
for doing another fantastic job in organising everything on the trip.
